How you're billed
Per agent, plus per session for Freddy AI
Freshdesk is priced per agent seat, and features are split across Growth, Pro and Enterprise. SLA policies, for example, start on Pro, so needing them usually means moving every agent from $19 to $55.
The AI agent is metered by sessions. Freddy AI Agent includes 500 sessions on paid plans, then costs $49 per 100 sessions. Freshworks' page doesn't state whether the included 500 renew monthly, so confirm with sales before you model it.
Agent-assist is a separate per-seat add-on: Freddy AI Copilot is $29 per agent per month on annual billing.

AI session overage
Beyond the included 500 sessions, Freddy AI Agent is $49 per 100. High-volume months cost more.
Day passes for occasional agents
Part-time agents can use day passes at $2 (Growth), $7 (Pro) or $12 (Enterprise) per agent per day, higher on Omni. Useful, but easy to lose track of.
Chat and voice cost more
Freshdesk alone is ticketing. Chat, messaging and voice come with Freshdesk Omni, which starts at $29 per agent rather than $19.
Automation limits
Connector app tasks are sold at $80 per 5,000, and MCP actions beyond the yearly allowance cost $15 per 1,000.

Is Freshdesk free?
Not permanently anymore. Freshdesk's Free program covers up to 2 agents for 6 months, on Freshdesk only (not Omni). There is also a 14-day free trial of the Enterprise plan.
